Our research and reporting process How We Work: Maximizing Policy's Potential to End Poverty Ending global poverty starts with women. That?s why its so important that our international assistance and trade policies be based on the actual priorities of the women they are supposed to help. Women Thrive Worldwide consults with hundreds of local women?s organizations on the ground in developing countries to ensure that the policies we propose and shape are solving the real problems women face in their daily lives. Women Thrive believes in the power of collaboration to produce positive and achievable results. Working with our diverse partners, we mobilize Americans and policymakers in Washington, DC to make these solutions a reality for the millions of women around the world struggling to escape poverty.

We’d also like to tell you... People often ask us why we focus on women. We do because worldwide, women are at the greatest risk of being poor. Research and experience have also shown that women in poor countries are more likely to use their income for food, healthcare and education for their children, helping to lift entire communities out of poverty. However, women face unequal social and economic barriers that prevent them from earning a living and supporting their families. Women Thrive works to ensure that U.S. policy is addressing these barriers and supporting women?s efforts to find their own path out of povert
