Founder's story
We are a family business living and working in rural Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.
Our mission
To bring the Thai craft markets to the world. Using cost effective and efficient systems to offer unique handcrafted items at the lowest possible price.
Our philosophy
There is a saying in Thai "Por Yu", which means enough to live. This stems from the Buddhist idea that happiness comes from eliminating cravings. Cravings for more wealth, more power, more material goods, these cravings will all reduce your happiness.
Our philosophy is to not aim for short term profit nor crave material wealth. We have built this business because honest work is good for the soul and ensures our families financial security, not so that we can be richer than our neighbor. We try to offer reasonable prices that cover costs and a responsible profit margin. A large portion of any profit is reinvested back into our business. We wish to treat all people we touch with respect, and also to be treated with respect in return.
The types of products we sell
Our goal is to pass on the diversity and amazing prices of craft markets in Thailand to the world. Our catalog is made up of perhaps the widest range of craft products you will find anywhere.
Where the producers live and work
We source items from all of Thailand, but the largest portions come from either self empowered village and family craft groups, or marginalized Hill Tribe peoples of Thailand.
Projects we support
The Thais are traders and artists by nature. By trading with a huge range of craftspeople on Fair Trade terms we are acting as a medium for Thais to deliver their products to markets they normally would not be able to reach.
How we select what we sell
If the product is beautiful, well made, and reasonably priced, we will sell it.

The range of our catalog. It has taken many years of relentless work to develop the supply and range of goods that we offer.
