Founder's story
Sidamo Café opened its doors in June of 2008 in the heart of Oakland, California. Our café was born out of the desire to share the unique flavors and traditions of coffee from our homeland Ethiopia with our customers in the United States.
Our mission
Whether you are a local customer or an online coffee buyer, we offer our customers a unique coffee experience. Sidamo Cafe creates distinctive, interesting blends from the highest quality, hand-roasted, African coffee.
Our philosophy
We believe in creating a vibrant and inviting community space that provides our local customers with excellent coffee, local artwork, and great company. When you brew our coffee at home we hope that you taste the love and care that we put into each cup.
The types of products we sell
We have three types of coffee: hand-roasted and blended according to the tastes of our customers. Choose from Sidamo, Harar, or Yemen. Add honey-ginger to create a blend that will add a treat to your normal routine. Choose from light, medium, or dark roast. Let us know how you prefer your coffee and we promise to delight your palate!
