Founder's story
Bambootique specializes in accessories for women, made by women artisans in developing countries. Our products include handcrafted jewelry, handbags, candles, scarves, and handmade paper products.
Our mission
The mission of Bambootique is to offer economic opportunities to artisans worldwide, mainly women, by providing them access to the North American market through a fair trade boutique. Community education is incorporated into all aspects of the business so that the boutique serves as both a viable business and a vehicle of social awareness.

How we select what we sell
We are members of the Fair Trade Federation and adhere to their criteria for fairly traded products. We select products that are unique and beautiful, as well as made by workers who experience a good working environment and fair, living wages.

I am the co-founder of an online fair trade boutique, Bambootique (www.shopbambootique.com). I am also a wife and mother to Grace (age one). I believe everyday choices I make have an incredible impact on others around the world.
