“A crossroad between commerce and neighbors”, the Roasterie remains a destination where family, friends and visitors from around the world meet. Where myths and legends are created and stories are preserved;
The beans we use are rare. All are high mountain shade grown and traditionally farmed. We blend a combination of Organic, Certified Organic, Fair Trade and Directly Traded beans.

The types of products we sell

Like the grapes of fine a wine, the coffee beans we use are rare and rich in history and taste. Their flavor profiles are as unique and diverse as the people who grow them, and the exotic regions in which they are grown. The beans we use are all high mountain shade grown and traditionally grown. We artisan roast on site a combination of traditionally grown, organic, certified organic, fair trade and directly traded beans.

How we select what we sell
We source beans through The Vashon Island Coffee Foundation, created by fair trade pioneer, Jim Stewart, to directly assist the families and communities who produce high quality coffee through traditional growing practices. Jim Stewart is dedicated to promoting good stewardship of the land and to providing equitable compensation to not only the farm owners, but the workers as well, which helps the workers maintain their independence.
We at TVICR continue in the traditions that were created by Jim Stewart 25 years ago by offering high quality coffee from the land to your cup. All of our beans are fresh roasted on site on The Roasterie’s original vintage Roaster. This is the foundation of our gourmet Heirloom®Coffee. You will taste the difference.
