Founder's story
One Village Gifts was born out of a desire to make a difference in the world. The belief that one small gesture can make a huge impact on another person's life. This simple act is never more true than in developing countries where women are given the opportunity to create beautiful crafts, make a living wage, and change their lives for the better.
Our mission
70% of all artisans are women and oftentimes are mothers and sole wage earners for their families. Many of our artists are women who are producing handcrafted goods based on cultural traditions. Cooperative and producer associations provide a healthy alternative to large-scale manufacturing. These women are given the opportunity to find independence from a life of poverty, gain self worth, and develop self-confidence.

Our philosophy

Sustainable handbags and totes, eco-jewelry, holiday gifts, fair trade coffees and chocolates.
Where the producers live and work
The producers and their beautiful crafts come from a variety of countries, mainly Kenya, South Africa, and Rwanda; South American countries such as Peru, and the Amazon rainforests of Brazil; SE Asia countries including Cambodia and Indonesia. And lastly India and Nepal, concentrating on those impoversh areas which need our support.
