This weekend I received the new "Curbside Setout Instructions" from the City of San Jose. Each year I enjoy reading this little map of what you can recycle and how because I always learn a little something.

Let's see ... I can recycle plastic marked with a 1 or 7. I want to memorize that because I'm always wondering ...

I can recycle scrap metals. That's interesting. I wonder what qualifies. Is anything I have that's solid metal "scrap'"

Check this out, I can put "clean fabric and linen in a clear bag" in there. Hmmm ... what do they do with that? Does the bag have to be recyclable?

What a long way we've come since we used to throw cans in the garbage. It's definitely going to be a team effort to do what's best for our planet.
