So in June 2006, I was traveling around China and had the great opportunity to visit "Old Shanghai." Old Shanghai is a neighborhood within "Shanghai." It is called "Old Shanghai" because it is the one area that has preserved the old architecture and street layout of the days before Shanghai began its economic transformation in the late 1900s.
