Founder's story
GreenBoatStuff is a family run business. Our founder, Eric Allen, is an avid sailor who became frustrated trying to find environmentally friendly products at traditional boating supply stores. A committed conservationist, Eric became fed up with products that claimed to be "biodegradable" or "environmentally friendly," but then failed to disclose their ingredients. Or, if they did disclose their contents, they were full of petroleum based chemicals and other toxins that could take years to breakdown. This frustration led him to open greenboatstuff.com after a long and well researched effort to find high quality products that live up to their claims without harming the Planet.
