Founder's story
Although our ebay/world of good user name is consciousclothing, our business name is Iron Lion Imports. We began as a branch of our glass business, when we saw the most amazing documentary on "free trade" practices in Jamaica. After an eye opening experience into the unjust working conditions so many are forced into, we couldn't help but feel the need to be involved. In 2004 we began our journey, after months of research, importing on a small scale for our ebay business. Focusing on customer service and spreading the message of fair trade, demand in the last 4 years has been incredible, and our humble start has now become a life's ambition.

Everything we carry we either hand pick or design ourselves, so you're assured the most unique assortment of conscious goods available!
You'll find an incredible assortment of beautiful recycled silk & all natural hemp, tons of unique knit tops perfect for yoga, amazing embroidered and hand loomed clothing, more bags than you can imagine, and even jewelry to match. The selection changes often as each item we carry comes in only a limited quantity, but we're constantly creating new designs, so check back often for an everchanging assortment to choose from.
Where the producers live and work
Right now we work with our closest friends in Nepal and are almost mirror images of each other on opposites sides of the world. We're nearly the same age, with children the same age, and we're both running our own small, family businesses in the hopes of growing to improve the lives of everyone around us.

How we select what we sell
We custom design or hand pick every item we sell. We have the immense joy of working closely with our crafters in Nepal, making us involved in every step of the process. We choose things we feel good about, favoring recycled and eco-conscious products and unique designs that stand out from the crowd.

We are a small family business rooted in our own spiritual beliefs of universal equality. We focus on clothing and accessories, hoping to offer a unique and ethical option to traditional imported clothing. We are a very small business, so we are very customer service oriented. We are proud members of Co-op America and have been selling on ebay for several years now.
