Founder's story
Founded in 1998 by a handful of pioneering
organic almond growers, Big Tree Organic Farms
members believed that cooperation instead of competition would build a more sustainable California organic almond market. This cooperative has grown into one of the largest suppliers of organic almonds to the world.
Our mission
Cooperatively united, our growers are dedicated to empowering farms,
educating consumers and providing high quality products to the organic community.
Our philosophy
Good farming is a balance between producing almonds of the highest quality
while caring for the land and promoting healthy living. Love of the soil, love of farming and the love of
producing the very best almonds leads to organic farming. Our growers discovered only by eliminating the use of
synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, could the true
great taste and nutrition of almonds be released.

Organic almonds and organic almond products - whole, natural, roasted, blanched, sliced, diced, slivered, and ground into meal.

Projects we support
The Big Tree Organic Farms marketing cooperative encourages
members to share information, farming techniques and best
practices by hosting Organic Almond Farming Workshops througout the year.
